Super Smash bros club brings competitive gaming to UNCA

During finals week most students might find the release of a new video game an unneeded distraction, but for the future members of the Super Smash Bros club this was the release they couldn’t miss. Nintendo released their newest installment of their wildly popular fighting game series “Super Smash Bros Ultimate” in December 2018. The game is a series of multiplayer battles in which many well-known Nintendo characters are pitted against each other to fight, with each character using their unique abilities in the fray.

Psychology and French student Amber Hausle continues to be an artist of varying phases of interest throughout her life. With an underlying love for drawing, she experimented with watercolor, embroidery, knitting and now most recently, she’s perfecting her Etch A Sketch art.

Associate professor discusses work on Disney’s Dinosaur

Director and associate professor at UNC Asheville, Christopher Oakley, has over 25 years of film, animation and television experience, including spending four years working on Disney’s animated film Dinosaur released in 2000, which he said helped pave the way for Disney’s future animation projects.
