Life isn’t about living up to expectations, or about proving one’s worth to another – but rather, The Happy Fits’ up-beat pop choruses paired with affirming lyricism reminds fans to strive for interpersonal excitement. The New Jersey based recording group is composed of cellist Calvin Langman, guitarist Ross Monteith, and drummer Luke Davis; all members of the recording band are also involved in vocals.
The Happy Fits’ live performance surpasses the common concert motif of a disconnect between the artists and the audience – but somehow enhances the existing connectedness between clusters of friends, solo-swayers, and the touring band members themselves. The touring band is composed of guitarist Raina Mullen, cellist Calvin Langman, drummer Trevor Hogan, and guitarist Nicole Rosey.
Their sound is similar to that of artists such as Michigander, del water gap, COIN and Hippo Campus, all falling within the indie pop genre. The recording trio currently has about 1.1 million Spotify monthly listeners, a product mostly of overnight success in 2020 when their sophomore album “What Could Be Better” received massive praise on social media.
