The second annual mass communication pumpkin decorating event kicked off Oct. 19 on the third floor of Karpen Hall, with several majors and minors in attendance. Students doodled and adorned their plump orange and off-white fruits with different stickers and drawings to create imaginative jack-o’-lanterns for Halloween.
The smaller pumpkins were donated by local plant nursery B.B. Barnes, with the larger pumpkins coming from a nearby Ingles. Three smaller pumpkins were used for a game of pumpkin bowling, where players rolled (or tossed) the fruits down a paper bowling lane into ten stacked, red solo cups.
Several attendees went home with one or more pumpkins with which to decorate their homes or dorms.
