Preston Blakely waits for Walz' plane to descend along with other local leaders.
On Wednesday Sept. 27, Governor Walz touched down at the Asheville Regional airport at 6PM and met with local leadership. Fletcher mayor Preston Blakely, Canton mayor Zeb Smathers, State Rep. Eric Ager, State Senator Julie Mayfield, President of Legislature Labs Mark Pennypacker and campaign Super volunteer Brenda Mills were in attendance to accompany Walz to the Orange Peel where he held a rally to urge voters to the polls on Tuesday.
