Chris Bobbitt officially sworn in as commuter senator

Despite previously not being allowed to serve in the Student Government Association since the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, Chris Bobbitt is now officially able to actively fill the position of commuter senator. Bobbitt was sworn in on Wednesday’s SGA meeting alongside the newly elected freshmen senators.

Despite being elected to fulfill the position of commuter senator in the Student Government Association, Senior Chris Bobbitt has not been allowed to serve so far this semester. This leaves commuter students without a senator representing them.

Senators take on new positions in SGA meetings

Wednesday’s Student Government Association meeting passed two bills establishing senior senator Lexi Herring as president pro tempore and senior senator Jackson Myers as the legislative librarian. Both bills were passed unanimously by the senate. Following the passage of the bills, the gallery was asked to leave so a closed session could commence. The closed session was completely confidential, and no minutes were taken to record what had been discussed.
