Sinclair must-runs leave viewers searching for answers

When Orson Welles made his War of the Worlds broadcast in 1938, nearly six million people heard it. Of those, one million believed it to be true. A study done after the panic showed these people were largely rural, poor and uneducated — the same demographic of people who largely comprised Trump’s voter base. As Sinclair’s must-run segments come to the forefront of the media, this same demographic is left crying fake news.
