For many college students, the dining hall is a regular part of daily life. A closer look reveals that students have access to a variety of meal options throughout the week.
Some reviews of the Brown Dining hall found online are “Good food, lots of Gluten free options” and “Nice layout, great selection of food”.
On a typical evening, students can choose from warm, filling meals or lighter alternatives. One common option includes a balanced plate with roasted chicken, rice, seasoned potatoes, green beans and corn on the cob. Meals like this provide a hearty choice for students coming from long days of classes, practices or work shifts.
For those looking for something lighter, the dining hall also offers a customizable salad bar. Students can choose from leafy greens, vegetables, croutons and a selection of dressings. This allows students to build a meal that fits their preferences or dietary needs. This flexibility makes the dining hall accessible to students with different eating habits.
Having multiple choices available in one location allows students to decide what works best for them on any given day. Whether they need a full meal to recharge or something quick and simple, the dining hall offers options that accommodate a wide range of schedules and lifestyles.
A UNC Asheville Sophomore Manuela Schreier eats at the Brown Dining Hall every day and says it has been great.
“They have been putting out a lot of different things,” said Schreier.
The Dining hall also has gluten free options at every meal for our gluten free students! Also, can’t forget the dessert! Right after the salad bar is a dessert bar with yummy cakes and cookies stocked! Also an ice cream machine with multiple flavors!
While campus dining may not be perfect, these everyday offerings show how the dining hall continues to serve as a central and convenient resource for students!
