A police report was filed for an act of vandalism on W.T Weaver street and Broadway street on March 1 The description provided in the report said,
“Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of property (290)”
There is currently a stump of what once was a former flock camera on the cross of Broadway and W.T Weaver. The pole seems to be a standard hollow PVC pipe.
The cut is slightly scalloped and not properly leveled, a scoop like appearance with a chunk missing out of the W.T Weaver side.
Here is an unharmed flock camera on Founders drive in its natural state for comparison,

While attempting to get a statement from UNCAPD regarding the event, there had been another instance involving a university camera.
“It’s funny you came in because we just got a report of somebody trying to alter one of the cameras on founders drive, like literally just ten minutes ago,” Officer Craig said.
Afterwards, Officer Craig said “You match the description,” of the person seen by the Flock camera on Founders drive.
The university was unable to inform me of whether the report was due to an automated camera system or an in person call.
The university currently has no estimation for the cost of the damage, nor an estimated timeline for repairs, according to communication and marketing director Brian Hart.
